Meet the Designer
Hello! I'm Amy Hindman, the designer behind Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop. I live in Eastern Oregon with my husband and four kids, and there's always something being sewn at our house!
I started Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop in 2010 with a simple goal: create sewing patterns that are fun to make, practical to wear, and designed with real families in mind. What began as a creative outlet while my kids were little has grown into a community of hundreds of thousands of sewists worldwide.
I love designing patterns that help you create handmade clothing for your favorite people—whether that's a cozy hoodie for your toddler or a perfect-fitting dress for yourself.
Our Story
Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop started at my kitchen table in 2010. As a mom of young kids, I was frustrated with patterns that were either too complicated, poorly sized, or just not practical for everyday life. So I started designing my own.
My first patterns were simple kids' clothes—things I actually wanted my children to wear. Word spread through sewing blogs and forums, and before I knew it, I had customers asking for more sizes, more styles, and patterns for themselves too.
Today, we offer over 400 PDF sewing patterns for babies, kids, women, and men—plus accessories and home items. Every pattern is tested by real sewists, includes detailed photo instructions, and comes with my personal commitment to helping you succeed. If you ever get stuck, our Facebook group and customer support team are here to help.
