Made this for my 2 yr old granddaughter at her dad's request. She likes to do dishes and cook with him. Who could turn that down? Simple to make and anxious for her to receive it.I did make the mitten too, kind of wish I made it for real, you know, just in case. But will tell her its for her play kitchen not the real one.

My granddaughter loves her apron and it was a breeze to make. However I did not make the mock oven mitt as I worried she would think it was the real thing and burn herself.

I even managed to enlarge it for her cousin who is about 5" taller.

Recently made a apron and oven mitt set for my grandson's cousin on the other side of the family. Fit is perfect for an almost 2 year old boy with room for growth. Recipient was thrilled to receive and loves wearing and playing in both items.
I have a lot of sewing experience and found the instructions to be clear.

I liked that the neck piece is made from elastic; no frustration for little bakers trying to get their aprons on. Size is well proportioned for little ones as well.

I don't have a lot of sewing expertise and wanted to make an apron for my granddaughter. This pattern was easy to understand. I was quite proud of myself after I finished. The oven mitts are adorable.

    15. Super Cute and Easy star rating

I make adult and kids aprons all the time. I have to make at least 6 at a time for family and my grandkids. I like this apron because of the elastic neck strap. The fit is great for little ones and there is no chance of a choking hazard. My grandson is big and at 9 months bibs wouldn't fit him, but these aprons are perfect. A FQ will make one and I use the scraps for the neck band.

I love the oven mitt for my granddaughter, toor. We bought her a play kitchen, next Masterchef junior :) and she looks adorable in it. She knows this is a play mitt so when she cooks in the "real" kitchen she knows she can't use it. However, I plan on using this pattern and making it "real" kitchen compatible. Thanks for pattern and your tutorial.

Made this for my grand daughter, shes 3.5 years. Fit perfectly and she loves being able to help Mummy in the kitchen. I thought the directions were easy to follow. I added a pocket the width of the bottom and sewed down the middle to make it more stable. She loves being able to put her treasures in the pocket. Thank you so much for a simple easy design that looks wonderful.

    19. Pattern is cute, but directions are not the best star rating

Posted by Kate on 2nd Mar 2016

The apron pattern itself is cute, but I find the directions to be a little hard to follow. I figured it out and was happy with where I ended up, but it could have been a little clearer from the start. Plus, the kids' mitt is HUGE. It fit my full-grown adult hand. However, this was free, so four stars.

This is so cute for any little girl who puts it on. This is so easy to put together. Now I have requests for little boy aprons to wear and help Dad when he barbeques.
