This is a pretty great simple cape pattern with a ton of extras - initial letters, shapes etc for appliqués. The strap parts are very narrow though so it's important you keep to the recommended seam allowance.

This is a quick and easy sew that makes a great gift. I used faux leather for the emblems and it was a hit. I'm sure I will make many of these.

I made 3 super kid capes for Christmas gifts. I used satin (make sure you get bridal satin...its easy to work with) and I used fabric paint for the appliqué on the back. Pattern was super easy to follow. The only complaint I would have is that the straps on the smaller sizes are really thin after sewing and hard to turn right side out....and also hard to attatch velcro because they are so thin.
That being said I will still make this pattern again and again.

My kids get invited to a lot of birthday parties. Often I don't know the kid very well, or sometimes at all. I've had a fall-back red-riding hood style cape for the girly girls ( pink and sparkly, where applicable) but this hood rounds out my "Aarrgh, what do we get the kid" repertoire.
I made one of these for one such kid, I used a Batman logo in yellow on black for one side, and a red with black spiderwebs on the reverse. It was a hit, and Master 4 has ordered a similar one for his best friends birthday next week.
It's a quick sew, and so straightforward. I use Kam Snaps for the closure. The whole thing, including printing and taping took well less than an hour.

Really happy with this pattern. Was exactly what we needed and the shaped draped beautifully. Will be making more of these for gifts

I made this reversible cape for my 3 year old nephew. He was thrilled. I did Superman on one side and Spider Man on the other. It was easy and fun.

Simple, easy, and fun pattern. I made it for my sons birthday at a giant trampoline park. It'll be fun to watch it flapping up as he jumps around.
