    1. Great car seat coat star rating

I had searched for a RTW coat that was appropriate for winter and going in and out of a car seat. I couldn't find one, and decided to sew and google introduced me to this pattern. The pattern was simple to follow and quick to put together. Resulted in a super sweet coat for my little. Great pattern, I'm sure I'll use it again.

    5. For the outdoorsman star rating

Perfect for rain gear, ATVing, camping or adventures. This pattern, easy to follow, no unnessicary pieces. I used a waterproof camo fabric and a jersey knit for the lining. The tips for top stitching give the jacket a polished look. I would suggest that you read through the directions before starting to make sure you see how to turn the jacket, or you will end up like me hemming the bottom and sleeves. Only thing missing is pants.

    6. Perfect Fall/Winter Jacket star rating

Posted by Amber Brooks on 31st Oct 2014

This was the first jacket I had made and I love how it turned out! My son picked out the colors and choose Captain America red for the rip stop nylon and blue for the fleece. I love the different pocket styles. He wanted zipper pockets so I did that on the fleece side and inseam pockets on the nylon side. The only part I got mixed up on is putting the zipper pocket on and matching the armholes right, but that was clearly my error in checking. This was the first time using a separating zipper too and I had to shorten it which wasn't an issue. My son loves it and no one can tell its handmade because of the design. Great pattern to have on hand!

Most of the steps I understood, they were easy to follow, once I got untuck with the step before you turn it inside out I eveything came into place nicely. I would be willing to make another one. great pattern. if you get stuck, amy can help too..

    8. Quick Project - "Name Brand" Look star rating

Posted by Kristy on 5th Sep 2014

This pattern was easy to follow and a quick, one night sewing project. My son loves his and I get compliments on them all the time. Another great pattern from PAB where the final project looks professional and NOT "OH, your mom made that for you, didn't she?!". I love how it looks like the ones other kids are wearing but can be customized with their favorite fabrics and colors!

I made this for my 6 year old son. He loves that is reversible, and he calls it his "two coats in one". I used flannel and fleece for a cozy fall coat. The hardest part was finding a reversible separating zipper long enough.

    10. Brilliant Unisex Pattern star rating

My son saw this and asked for a special coat, made in some comic book hero fabric. He wears it almost every day and resents it being washed. The pattern is beautifully put together, and the step by step process is fantastic for novice sewers.
