I converted this pattern into training pants (used the boxer style and skipped the mock fly) I subsituted PUL for the centre front and back. They look great!

I found this pattern to be easy to follow and it turned out great. I used fold over elastic for the edging and it went very fast.

I was really nervous to make undies for my son. This pattern is so easy and will make you want to sew a whole bunch of undies for all the kids you know.

Made for my 10 year old boy, using a pile of old tee shirts that were scheduled for the charity shop. Quick sew - I did think that the panel wasn't going to fit at one point, but after a good stretch, everything was fine. Another quicky and easy sew from Amy.

    9. Perfect for my skinny boy! star rating

My son is small for his age, and I wanted to switch him to underwear and do the 3 day potty training method. Store bought underwear was going to be way too big (my son is 2 years old but just started fitting into 18m clothes well). Although his hip measurement was 18", he still fits into the 12m waistband of the pattern, and will probably be able to get away with the 18m waistband too!

    10. Good basic pattern star rating

I have made one fake fly pair and it turned out great. When you do the functional fly make sure you read whats written on the pattern piece too, then the instructions make sense :)
