I made this for my daughter for Halloween. The directions could have been clearer. It assumes a lot son if you're a beginner like me you may need assistance. Also, the front was beautiful but the back bodice did not line up right. Again, I'm a beginner so it's probably me. Otherwise it's wonderful and so great that she did this for free.

The instructions are clear and it came together well. Working with that much tulle is a pain but that is not the Patterson's fault.

I got this pattern for my 3-year-old, who will only wear LONG dresses and is obsessed with ball gowns, princesses, things like that. It was a pretty quick sew; the hardest part was cutting all pieces the same size with pinking shears so that the hems lined up correctly. Other than that, I have a very happy little girl on my hands, who has changed her desire to be a Princess - Super Barbie - Mermaid for Halloween to a desire to be the "new" Cinderella. I modified the dress for her small frame by using sticky velcro instead of sew-in, and placing an extra pair of velcro closures further into the back of the dress, to give the bodice a tighter fit. I would be very happy if Amy were to make this a paid pattern, encompassing all sizes!
