Thank you for an easy to follow pattern. I love the option for different fabric for the pockets. really allows you to make a one of a kind item for your little one.

My sensory boys despise pants that don't have a "comfy" waistband, and I love that these fit their need while also being appropriate for everything from play shorts to dress pants (leave off the cargo pockets, and the welt pockets and faux fly make them perfect for church pants!)

Made up a bunch of shorts for my 3 boys. They are perfect for them! I love the knit waistband especially since my kids are 5 & under. Makes it super easy for the oldest two to take on and off themselves. This has quickly become my go to pattern for pants!

These shorts are so great! Not only do they use woven fabrics, so I can pick up character fabrics at my local Joann Fabrics, but the directions are super easy to follow! I have already made 5 of these, and will be making many more!

These are just too cute. Can't wait to make them.

These are great pants! I have made both pants and shorts using this pattern for both my son and daughter. Love the pattern, easy to use, and they look great! I decided my son needed a pair of these minus the cargo and welt pockets for Easter dinner and I whipped them up in less than 2 hours from cut to finish. No one could tell they were handmade.

I've made tons of these this summer. The first pair were upcycled from an old pair of my trousers - then I made a few pairs of shorts, without the cargo and welt pocket - just the pockets at the hip. Really versatile pattern with so many different options. I found it true to size, I made a few as age 10 for my 10 year old, and couple of age 12, that will see him through the winter too.

My son has to wear uniforms for school and they cannot have cargo pockets. He has a 21" waist but needs an almost 7" inseam on shorts to be just below the knee (size 6). The castaway cargos are perfect! I made a size 6 without cargo pockets to comply with the dress code and I left off the back welt pockets as he would not use them. He absolutely loves them! He didn't want buttons as they take too long to do and he doesn't use a fly yet. This pattern was so easy to make and they look awesome! I know my son can grow 4" and the shorts will still fit and comply with dress code. My daughter wants a pair now too. Awesome pattern!

Much more easy to make than it seamed! There's 3 kind of pockets in those pants and I'll use these with other pattern in the future. Perfect fit on my little boy.

Such great pants! I was unsure about the faux fly at first. It sounded intimidating. But the instructions were easy to follow and the resulting pants are prefect. I love using a fun accent fabric to line the pockets. I have made several of these now with varying numbers of pockets. When I am taking my time, I add lots of pockets. When I want a pair of pants pronto, I skip some of the pockets. Either way, this pattern makes a nice pair of cute pants!

I made these with pul and lined it with fleece so my son can have more than one pair of snow pants. They turned out really great! There will be some cargo shorts in my future!

My kids all prefer elastic waisted pants and I love how quickly I can make a pair. I can whip out a a pair in one night. I have modified the pockets to make pull on jeans, left off pockets to make dress pants, and have included the cargo pockets on other pairs. Although I have several other peek-a-boo pants patterns, this is my go to pattern when my kids need pants.

Very clear and easy to follow pattern. I loved the pocket style as it's one I have attempted on my own before and not quite gotten right LOL. Got it this time and made some super cute July 4th shorts.

This was my first try with boys clothing. The directions were very clear and easy to follow. The only problem was the cargo pocket on the small size 2T sewed the side pocket partially closed.

These are the cutest shorts/pants that are also comfortable for your kiddo to run around and play in. The knit waistband is simply genius and I love that I can get them on my kids without fussing over a fly, just pull em up and you're good to go! I learned to make welt pockets using this pattern and I never knew how simple it was until I made these pants. It may seem intimidating but the instructions are clear and the result is fabulous.

I love how versatile this pattern is. I did not have experience with pockets the first time I made this but the pattern is written so I could understand and see what I needed to do to make a great final product. My guy is tall and skinny and this was easy to customize to fit him well so they did not look too bulky. Amy was great in giving me guidance to help me do this correctly. These sew up so fast if you need a pair of plain shorts with no pockets.

I was worried that this was over my head but the directions are very clear and when I had a doubt I was able to get feedback from the facebook group. I cannot wait until she writes more patterns. ( hopefully some adult patterns also!)
